Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced detectorist, this is your opportunity to share your discoveries with thousands of fellow readers and help document Britain’s hidden history through metal detecting. For your finds, please try to include 1–2 clear images showing the complete item, along with a close-up of any detailed decoration or fine artwork where appropriate. For coins, images should be taken from above to accurately show the flan shape and must include both obverse and reverse views, regardless of condition.

Ideally, all images should be well lit with a plain or neutral background (preferably white or pastel colours) and with plenty of space around the image. Clear photographs greatly improve the chances of your find being featured and help with accurate identification.
